I have a condition with my brake lights that's got me puzzled.
For starters, 2003 SR5 V8. They are LED in non OEM housings. Have worked flawlessly until about a month ago.
The first thing I noticed was the dash lights coming on when the brake pedal is pressed. Then, I found that even though the brake lights work when the pedal is pressed, when the headlights are on, there is no change in illumination on the tail lights.
Next, I found that my CHMSL was burned out. So, I replaced it.
Same thing going on with dash lights and tail lights not changing with headlights on. I'm headed back to auto parts store to buy standard bulbs and replacement fuses.
Fuses look fine visually. Going to start checking and replacing.
TIA for any thoughts and insights while I go down the list of possible solutions.
