Yes. The 891's will be for sale if I can't work out a trade for some 890's. It's looking like I am going to be getting some new 890's here soon, not much on the trade front.

I haven't used used OME shocks so I can't speak for them. I've only run Bilsteins, HDs and 5100.

I have had 809, 891, LC 9 wraps and now 861. The 890s ride nice and flex well. The 891s were a little stiffer but not harsh. The LCs flex great ride soft but can't carry my constantly changing loads, especially when doing ExPo trips. The 861s, which I have only had on for 50 miles or so, are firm but ride great.

I think ride quality relies more on the shock than the coil, within reason.

Oh I totally agree. The shock makes a big difference, I am trying to eliminate that bounce that comes with the unloaded 891s, I am pretty sure that the 890s will take care of that.

When you talk bounce and you talking about a solid/zero compression or a boing /boing?

Get some Bilstein 5125s for the rear they provide a comfortable but controlled ride. Especially when you are running D or E weight tires.

Heck you are close enough to Toytec to run up there and get them....:biggrin2:

One might be inclined to remove the rear shocks and carefully drive around some neighborhoods. This should clear up the coil/shock debate.

I think I might take you up on that offer Gerdo. I am taking care of some family stuff for Thanksgiving but will hit you up after that. I'd be really curious to check out your rig and your setup. Maybe all that wisdom can help me out. I am pretty close to DU.
