Just ordered from Wheelers the following:

I requested that they assemble the fronts since I plan on doing the install myself. Pretty excited to have the beast handle a little better and am shooting for a 2-2.5" lift. Did I miss anything?

I am going with the 906's with one 10mm trim packer. I am hoping that will get me level with just a very slight rake.

That should be perfect. I doubt with the 906's you'll need to use spring compressors to get them in. Make sure, when you're doing the back, you undo the sway bar, take the shocks off, then pull the old coils out and put the new ones in. That way you probably won't need a spring compressor.

This is off of my receipt from Wheelers. I figure it will be another $100 or so for the assembly/parts to assemble and $100 or so to ship......so approx $770 shipped + $155 shipped for the OME 906's from East Coast. So it will probably come out to about $925-ish shipped for a pretty complete, top of the line suspension.

Now I am considering replacing the control arm bushings and ball joints while I have it apart. What do you think? She has 212k on the odometer. How hard are ball joints? Just use the tool/clamp thingy with an impact wrench right?

What Magnaflow do you have? Was it a direct fit? Any sound clips?

Magnaflow part #11255 had it welded on direct to stock pipes. Sounds great with the K&N CAI intake too. Nice deep tone but not overly loud. Got a lot of compliments on it lately. No sound clip but I will try and get one post it. I got the muffler on amazon for 85, free shipping.

There are some clips of the 3.4 v6 yotas with it on YouTube. Liked the sound much better than the flow master 44s or 40s.

I had this show up in the mail yesterday:

New coils, shocks, LCA's, LBJ's, and tie rods should all arrive by Tuesday. I've been applying PB blaster every couple days and plan on power washing underneath her a couple days ahead of time so that I can touch up the frame with some black paint while I have everything apart.

No ETA on Firestone LT275/70r17's, but I sent payment a couple days ago for a pair of 17" SR5 rims (2011).

Excited to start this build! What can I sell to fund a supercharger?!!

I had just enough time to pull out the drivers side shock (14mm wrench on top and just started twisting until it snapped) and install the OME 906 (with one 10mm spacer). Took about 45min using electric impact wrench (love this thing!).

I made a rookie mistake and didn't have axle supported while I was disconnecting the sway bar and lost my nut......where can I get one? Dealer? Size?

I didn't measure before I installed, but the drivers side is 1" higher than the passenger side, but I think the after jacking up the rear the passenger side was sitting a little taller than before I started jacking....guess this will settle back down.

Frame and suspension appears to be in fairly good shape.

I was under the impression you had to use OME struts with the OME coils. or are they just saying that so you'll buy the OME struts?

I hope that is not the case since I have two of them assembled and upstairs right now. Some folks are of the mind that if you stick with purely OME, that the components will work better together.

Yeah I figured OME coils and struts would work best as a matched pair, I just thought they physically wouldn't work with anything else. I'd like to try some 883's with 5100's.

I think I read somewhere that the OME's will work well if the 5100's are set at the 0" setting (let the spring do the lifting as it was designed), but that the ride really gets rough if use the higher settings........but I will let others chime in....still a noob here.

I haven't had a chance to install the front lift yet, but here she sits with:
- OME 906 Coils and Bilstein 5100 shocks in rear w/ one 10mm trim packer
- Firestone Destination A/T LT275/70R17's
- Delete running boards

It definitely looks like the drivers side is sitting a little lower than the passenger side (weight of gas tank I guess) so I will definitely be fine-tuning it with trim packers once she settles.

The tires are outstanding! Got to try them out in about 5-6 inches of snow tonight....could have gotten by in 2wd easily.

Rear lift looks great! Excited to see what it looks like with the front done.

I just got all the parts to start my lift hopefully this weekend (TRD Tundra/906). So yours should be really similar. I’m looking forward to the rear not bottoming out on every bump lol!

The cold weather has really been slowing me down, but I finally got my passenger side LCA removed and the new one installed, destroying the cams in the process (order new ones ahead of time if you are doing this). The top of the tire is definitely sitting outboard, so some serious alignment is needed, though it could just be my aftermarket UCA's being way of adjustment (set them at 0 degrees). I hope to get the drivers side done next weekend. This is how she is sitting at the moment.

What I've learned so far.....
1. don't mess around, just pull the rack and pinion and get it out of the way....oh, and the sway bar too.
2. a 27mm wrench fits the knuckle perfect to keep it from the hub from turning when installing/torquing.

I'm sure she will settle and sit a little different when I make the other side match, but so far very pleased.

Well, I took her to be aligned today. My toe was off, but my camber and castor was within spec.....not too bad for eye-balling it. My SAI was way out of whack, but I am going to take it to another Firestone (lifetime alignment) once I get the sway bars on.

With the 881/906 (w/ one 10mm spacer) combo, I have a reverse rake. I first ordered another spacer, but after some more thought I went ahead and ordered a set of 890's. It will probably be close to level with the two spacers empty, but I am always hauling something and plan to pull a small 5x8 trailer for my concrete and mulch runs.

I also ordered a new ADDCO 1.25in front sway bar and am keeping my eyes open for a deal on the rear. To compliment this, I ordered a set of MSTUDT's sway bar links.
