Lift time! Opinions.

I'm new the T4R group and this will be my first time lifting my Toyota! This has all been a learning process and I've already learned a ton! So I'm just wanting to check before I pull the trigger on a couple of things. I'll be going with the tundra bilstein 5100's (currently in route ) with Eibach/ Toytec 112-620 coils up front. I am still up in the air with the rear though, and need some opinions..! I'm leaning towards the Toytec super flex rear coils..but initially I was just going to go with the regular 3" lift coils but after checking out a couple more build threads and looking a pics, In the long run I think I'll benefit from the longer superflex coils. Opinions on these options are most definitely welcome and appreciated! I'm not too familiar with the LC 7&8 wrap coil, But if it's worth it, it's definitely a possibility. Also will the rear stock shocks work with the lift and the longer coils? Or will I need to plan on getting different longer shocks?

Horrible pics but it's all I have on my phone. Front setup is the same and rear is LC 7.5/8 wraps with oem tokiko black (LC) shocks. 265/75 tires. Super happy with going this route. Not sure how it will all be affected with armor but I'm not there yet.

Thanks for the info and pics! Where would I go about finding LC coils? If at least finding more info about them. I plan on going the same. Bumper, tire, gas cans on a swing out.

I’m also running LC 7.5 wraps in the rear with tokico blacks. Setup seems pretty good. I’m running kings up front with TC upper arms and the back definitely can’t keep up with the front. I’m running 285/70/17.

I'm running LX450 9 wraps in the back and I threw the cheapest pair of Land Cruiser shocks I could find from rockauto on it. A set or Gabriel's cost be like 56$ and the rear end feels great and still allows for soooo much articulation.

I found my LC coils on IH8mud.com. I posted a WTB ad and I think I had a few people offer them up within a week. I think I got mine shipped for ~$70

I'm diggin' your wheels! What are they? Have you had any rubbing issues! I'm planning on running a 285/75/16

It all depend on what your plan is for the truck. Are you lifting for rock crawling, over landing, or just for looks? Also what’s your budget? In my opinion, the most cost effective route that allows for good ride quality and articulation is fj80 Coils and the black tokico shocks, currently what I’m running. The coils are pretty easy to come by on Craigslist or in junk yards. I may even have an extra set of 7 wraps in my garage, if you decide to go that route let me know.

Thanks! They are SCS Ray10s in gunmetal. No rubbing issues, I flattened the pinch welds and trimmed the inner fender liner a little and so far so good.

It' my DD, so I want to keep a decent ride. I'd like to get the best bang for my buck but maintain a good balance of overloading and my DD, weekend trips. I also want to be able to hold up to weight in the future. The 7 wraps generally yield 3-3.5'? correct? and If i need to get a pair of the tokico shocks to work with the longer springs thats an option as well.

Bump it up! lets see some more options!

If your planning on a rear bumper w/swingout your going to want to go with OME 861's. A few guys are running LC 9 wraps with a rear bumper but most are running 861's. Unweighted they net 5" of lift. Weighted they settle nicely at 3 to 3.5. They carry the weight really well. Or you'll do what most of us have also done. Get 3" standard coils now then swap in the 861's when you get the bumper.

That's what I've found a lot of guys are doing the last couple days or research. I was thinking that I'll probably end up doing the same exact thing until I get weight in the rear. Thanks a ton for your help.

I would agree. My progression was tired 2002 stock suspension >> King C/O front LC 7 wraps Sonoran Steel rear lift >> after adding rear bumper >> 861 coils.

I didn't think, for the few days I had the 861 coils with no weight or even a spare in the back, that they were harsh.

Pic if empty 861s without rear bumper.

One with.

Are you using wheel spacers? Stance looks pretty wide for 285s and 17x8.5 -10 offset wheels right? Or is it because theyre sr5 flares?
