Locker before regear?

Picked up an '85 a couple months back. Completely stock except OME lift i just installed. At some point i'll probably get 33s and regear but that's probably over a year away. If I get a spartan locker for the rear now, will I be able to use the same locker when i regear in the future?

Side note: Great job on the forum. Used various posts to rebuild my knuckles. So much information here and it helps a newb like me out tremendously.

Yeah, you can reuse the Spartan when you regear.

Spartan is a great locker as long as you don't go over a 35" tire. If you plan on running bigger tires down the road, I'd save more $$ and invest in a Detroit, Grizzly, or ARB. Lunchbox lockers are pretty simple to install if you are handy with a wrench.
What ratio are you thinking about installing?
