looking at a 2001 in VA. hows this frame look?

I am in michigan and know well how bad frames can get, from the pictures I got so far it looks good, too good to be from Richmond but there are always some gems hiding in the rough. does this frame look like it still has the original coating or like its been recoated? looks original to me, and everything else in pictures underneath looks good. it has 211,000.
any one in the Richmond, VA area wanna take a peek at it for me?

couple more pics, there is a dent that I'm guessing paintless dent removal could tackle? spot of rust i could find is below driver taillight, was said to have got bumped and scratched. could grind it down and treat it, not a very visible area. some rust on hitch, but not bad relating to frame condition. although detailed the engine bay looks good too

My taillight has that exact same little spot of surface rust from the rear bumper being tapped into the body and my frame looks like that. Mine has been in the PNW 100% of it's life so it's about as clean as they get. I'd say jump on that.

I would move forward with a frame like that. It looks like it still has the original frame VIN decal, which you don't see often.

where did you see that?

carfax came up clean, 1 owner in MD its whole life, no accidents. last timing belt service recored according to toyota records was at 84,000 miles it currently has 211,000. seller says he can be flexible on price or have the belt done my certified mechanic for 5-600, id kinda rather do it myself. damn i really want a white 4runner, just sold my 2001 silver sr5 2 weeks ago in hopes to find a clean white one

Frame looks fine. I would inquire why the radiator was replaced (either to avoid the pink milkshake or because such occurred).

theres no hitory aside from toyota service and carfax. that is a good point I will ask about, I really dont think i will get an answer though

can you tell if a vehicle has had pink milkshake in the past?

I live in the Richmond area and the frame of my 2000 looks as good. The real place to check though is the shock hangers and the leaf spring hangers.

My radiator was changed at 200k to prevent the milkshake and I bet that's the case here. I would not commit to driving a vehicle without driving it and making sure it shifts well.

That 4Runner looks nice. You should check a paint less dent removal shop because it looks like they could bump the dent out from the inside.

First pic you have posted. It's right on the frame rail.

Drive the truck when it's cold. Get it through all the gears. Check transmission fluid level and condition.

thanks guys, will check those spots. gonna check frame along muffler and gas tank and where the rear control arms connect. Ok, saw the frame vin, nice catch. Grapheme from this forum is going to try to take a look at it and drive it for me, he's fairly local to the seller. Will most likely have to ship the car if I do buy it, friend here has a classic car consignment shop and a hook up on local transport company.
