Looking at first T4R, '15 SR5 Premium, good deal?

This is a great deal, with low miles, a very good investment, and starting platform. Please don’t waste your time deciding...go..buy..it..now.. or, at least go see it to make sure there isn’t a reason why it is sitting. Chances are, it is the tan, but you never know. My wife loves tan interiors. We had to have it on her Range Rover, and now her Highlander has it. It really isn’t bad at all, and you just need to stay up on cleaning, other than that, this seems to be a very fine specimen to begin your obsession! Trust me, obsession is completely appropriate.. you’ll see ;)

Nope, definitely a 4WD. You can def see that knob in the pic! (I wish it was a lever)

Phooey. The lever is overrated. I've had both, and I 100% prefer the knob.

The lever is in the way, it vibrates, and collects dirt. My wife can now use 4WD - not before. You just need to engage it from time to time.

Great deal. Love the MGM. I paid $25.5k I think for my black 2012 SR5 Premium with tan leather and 54K one year ago.

It already has 88k now after a year and 2 months.

GREAT deal if the carfax checks out. Don't wait, go look.

I have the tan cloth interior and it's not my favorite but if that's the only hiccup no big deal. But Gray exterior tan interior? It is an odd combo.

The 4Runner eats up highway miles. Mine (stock 96K miles) gets around 22 mpg on the highway. City around 18.5. 19 city if I really baby it.

Good luck!

Never thought of that! Good call.

Not for nothing but that's why I wouldn't want to buy a manual Jeep Wrangler. The shifter is connected to the transmission, and I've seen youtube videos of them shaking so much on rough roads that it pops out of gear.

Thanks! And that's pretty good mileage! I don't get much better with my Volvo actually. That's one of the reason I want to get back into the SUV. I basically have SUV mileage w/out the capability. My sister's Grand Cherokee actually gets BETTER mileage! It's too bad they turned those into crossovers though. Hers is a single speed transfer case with NO controls or options for the 4wd. Or should I say AWD.

I have tan leather interior in my Navy Blue Metallic 4th gen Firebird, and I really like the combo. For an 18y/o car, the interior still looks really clean, so tan isn't as bad with dirt as one would think. But yeah, you would expect to see tan with white or blue, not gray.

Maybe I can hem and haw about the interior to get a few bucks off, haha.

I got a smoking hot deal.

Maybe I just have a kick @$$ credit union...but no dealership has even come close for the last 3 vehicles I bought. Make sure you go into the dealership with a physical copy of a loan approval though. This shows them that you are serious about buying and they will at least try to beat the rate you *tell* them you got and it can give you leverage when negotiating.

I say: as long as the rate is good and you're happy with the truck - send it brother!

Also, I'll be moving out close to you in the next year. Will definitely be looking for guys to go wheel and work on mods with!

I guess I lucked out with the dealer I bought from. They asked if I wanted to finance with them, I told them I had financing with a low rate (2.9), and they asked for the chance to match it. I said sure, go ahead. Well, they did!

I should have told them lower, haha. I'm too honest sometime. I thought 2.9 was great for a 5 year old car with 90k miles on it.

And hit me up when you get out here!

2.9% Is not bad for a used car! That's what I got on my first Runner. Throw some pics of the new whip up when you get a chance! Also - honesty is not a bad trait.

Dealerships typically want to get at least a financing fee out of the deal, well in Canada they do so they will try and match rate but depends how long you're financing. They also make huge margins on any insurances. OP make sure if you finance through a dealer you understand the full details of the loan and don't end up with a balloon payment or something! I manage a Credit Union up here so pretty aware of quite a few tricks. Luckily as a Credit Union have a good morale compass.

I'm sitting up here in -40 celsius (literally.. yay for block heaters!) tonight watching Gran Tour and thinking about what we paid on our 4Runner a couple weeks back. $40k for a 2015 LE with 31k kilometers... funny... it's a pretty darn good deal up here! :hello:
