looking for 01' 4R

this is my first post on here so forgive me if i say something wrong or dont do something right...

i have recently come to the conclusion that i need to get my own vehicle; i have been driving my parents GMC yukon XL denali for the past year or so and love the truck itself but not the gas mileage...

i have looked at many different makes and models of vehicles that meet my requirements (better on gas, 4WD & reliable).

ive looked through the lemon books and many reviews... alot suggest the toyota 4 runner as the best fit for me...

so far this has been the best looking 4R i have found in my price range...

unfortunately i have come across alot of scams in recent days going through the autotrader lately with people posting ads for vehicles that are in amazing condition for price that is way outside of the norm, you contact them and they reply saying that the vehicle is located in canada but they arent living in the country and need the money right away and to send it over paypal...

anyway little side note... please tell me what you think of the vehicle, i am still planning on going to see the vehicle soon and wanted to know what to look for... i think the price is alittle too steep... especially for the year and the miles that are on it...

The price is a little high, but that is what to expect when purchasing from dealer. I am not sure how the pricing is in Canada. You could for sure talk them down a lot. But the price seems to be negotiable and the price listed seems to be a decent starting point. It looks really clean.

I don't have a clue what 4Runners go for in Canada but around here $6800 from a dealer would be a steal if it is in as good a condition as it appears.

I was seeing 4Runners about like that one going for $8000 and up at dealerships around here.

But I assume regardless if in Canada or in the US you are always better off buying from a private party.

Yeah, not a bad price at all, but you're never getting a deal from a dealership, so I wonder if there's a catch. I figure it needs new tires at the very least, which is $1000 right there.
