Loud grinding noise when turning right

Alright this sound has been bugging me for the last month and have been wondering what it could be, so so start it's only when I turn right but not quite at lock but a few inches before, sounds like metal on metal but can't see what it could be as nothing is touching, any suggestions on what it could be would be much appreciated.

Does occur when you just turn the wheel right while stopped/parked, when moving, or both?

Only when moving and only when turning right

Right side CV axle or possibly wheel bearing.

Check and make sure your tire isn't hitting the skid plate. If the front corner of the skid plate gets bent down and out for some reason, it can contact the tire when turning and make a lot of noise. Having slightly oversize tires can increase the probability of the tire catching the skid. Once the tire makes contact, it bends the skid more and makes it worse.

Lube the "limit" stops. These are hard limits (metal to metal) that are only contacted during extreme turns, both left and right.

Check the brake dust shields. I was doing some work on mine a few months back and managed to tweak one just a bit. It was rubbing going straight and took me a few minutes to figure out. You might have just enough slop in the wheel bearings it only makes contact when turning. Just pull it away from the rotor a bit (don't get carried away) and go for a drive.

so when your rolling and turn right you hear a noise ? if so then the driver side hub has an issue.. most likely if 14yrs old hub is failing.

turn left then that would be the right hub.. 14 yrs that is good on a hub failure ..

Yeah hubs have never been replaced nor have the bearings

Update ended up being the skid plate scraping the wheel when I turned some how got bent out of shape, bent er back and the problem went away.
