Love my 4rnr

I have a 1997 4rnr. It has served me well, however for the last few months my front end vibrates like crazy. I first thought the new tires I had bought were not balanced properly. I went back 4 times. Each time the same results. What can this be? Oh, and by the way bought the 4rnr brand new, there has never been any front end work done.

That's a big question and you'd really need to provide more details (starting with miles), but you're likely in need of front end work (tie rods, ball joints, steering rack bushings, steering rack, etc...).

Your front rotors could be warped, you rear drums could be warped.
First test is to get going about 50-55mph and pull up on your parking brake at that speed while holding the button as to not set it. If you feel vibration through the handle then your drums need replacing.
Front brakes are a little easier to tell b/c it will vibrate aggressively while mashing the brakes, and it will become progressively worse as time goes on.
If you do need to replace the front discs, I would highly suggest doing the tundra brake upgrade or you will just have to replace them again, and again.
Hope that helps!

Perhaps they are not balancing them correctly. I ask my tire shop to use the hawka adapter, also called a finger adapter. This adapter centers the Toyota hubs on the balancer. Check out Toyota Service Bulletin SU002-96....google it
