Low dip stick or Where is my oil going?

No signs of oil loss. No wet spots in the driveway or engine bay. No smiley exhaust. Yet the dip stick is coming up low. Do these engines (v8) console some oil when put through lots of 70mph+ highway time? 130k on the clock. 2007v8

"coming up low" .... how often from a top-off? 1,000, 2,000, 3,000? etc.

You really should post this in the 4th Gen section - that's where the experts on yours live. It could be a common problem with a known solution.
