I have some OEM 5 stars that are painted black and want to get some black lug nuts. I don't know if I need one with a shank and washer or if an acorn style would work. The acorn style lugs look to be cheaper.
Here's my thinking. If the OEM wheel is centered on the hub, then you would only need to rotate it slightly to center it on the stud hole. I wouldn't think you'd need a shank to center it around the stud. Can somebody tell me if I'm missing something, or confirm that an acorn style nut would be okay?
