Lukewarm seat

Among all of the things in life to be concerned about, this certainly ranks pretty low, but...

The driver's seat in the Snoop doesn't warm up as quickly or as much as the passenger's seat. Before I get all into diagnosis mode, I thought I'd ask here if anyone else has dealt with this kind of "problem." So, have you? Can you share your experience? Any one-beer fixes like cleaning the PO dog fur out of the heater thermostats?

Things I've tried:

• searching the forums and the web
• checking with my chica to see if she notices same (yes)
• reading the service manual section on Seat Heater System, BE-117
• drinking a beer
• lazily asking you first =)

so, it's clogged with flatus particulates? now I'm going to have to google "flatus de-particulator" to come up with the proper product to buy... No telling what'll get advertised at me after that.

1st world problems... My '01 has the same issue on the driver side. The rare occasion it's cold enough to turn on the warmers and I'm riding in the passenger seat I can definitely tell that the passenger seat is overall warmer and more evenly distributed. I had my driver side leather recovered and had the seat foam rebuilt and I'm thinking it wasn't put back 100% compared to the factory install. The consistency of the heat coil seems hit and miss. I thought about pulling off the bottom to inspect but I'm not looking forward to the retainer clips.

Long story short... I can't help

Ah Hah!

Closing the thread... found several "solutions" to my "problem," the last of which is probably the one I'll employ.

• trick my chica into driving more often and move the heater switch to the center console where I can reach it from the passenger's seat.
• yank both seats and switch out the heaters.
• quit whining and carry on. it's still a heated seat in high-speed, air-conditioned, music-equipped, reliable, 4 wheel drive throne, which is beyond all reasonable standards of luxury throughout human history.
