Dells are terrible now. Vista killed them. My gf had to get her money back after her inspiron 1525 was f-ing up like that was its job. My Dell desktop (Windows XP) is 4 years old with no problems. Maintenance is definitely necessary though. Anytime I have a problem, I just remove the last thing installed or downloaded. I just upgraded my memory too which was as easy as switching out a blown fuse. Apparently PCs and file sharing programs don't always get along and now I do absolutely no file sharing. I got rid of IE7 and went with Firefox because my IE8 upgrade kept generating error messages. At this point my next computer purchase will probably be a Mac because of my experiences with PCs. The ones I use at work are all POS
