Wow what a awesome build! I didn't know a LE - TE conversion could be done, or at least thought it would be $$$$. It's awesome what you've done with it so far! How do you like the 6112s? Considering some myself.

Thanks!! Yes, they can be. Alls parts are interchangeable. It would cost much or any if you find the right donor with the same color and you're set. As for the 6112s, they seem to be doing well. Don't have much to compare to except my Xreas, they are softer and great for my current use. There's more body roll especially with added weight but nothing too alarming. For the avg person, it's more then capable for most task.

So inspired by your rig, just wanted to say thanks for the awesome posts!

Here's some updated pix from this past week. Wasn't able to hit trails and do much off roading like i wanted to since I have the family and kids with me. But none the less, I was able to put some miles on the Runner and spend time with the family. This was a short 5 days 4 nights trip from Northern Cali to Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Joshua Tree and back home.

Decided to venture a solo ride out to Corral Hollow. I've been sick and needed to stay inside but couldn't waste a beautiful day. It was either mtb (too much strain to my body)or this. First time here, didn't want to get myself in a rut so an easy moderate trail it is.

Lifting my truck tomorrow with 6112's.. I want to have it at the 5th notch, and am running KO2's in 285

did you have trouble aligning the truck at the 5th notch without UCA's? Do you think it'd be possible to do the 5th notch with 285's on stock ucas?

If not, how much visual difference was there on 4th vs 5th notch? Any problems with alignment at 4th notch?

I'm leaning towards trying the 5th, and if there are any alignment problems, i could install UCA's a couple months down the road

4th notch is max for stock alignment but will eventually need uca replacement in the future
5th notch, you should definitely do the UCAs
4th or 5th will depends on what your rear coil is

I have the icon overland so depending on my load but it's about +/- 2.5" in the rear. As for the front, it's prob a hair under 3" on the 5th notch.

I guess is about times start a build thread. By no means is my 4Runner on he same level as those that are on here but hopefully one day it may be close. I still have a lot to learn off-roading and some of these mods exceed the needs of my capabilities. There's few members that has inquired about my build so this should help. Anyways, I have always wanted a 4runner for awhile ever since the 5th gen came out. There's a Toyota dealer that I would pass by every time I swing by my buddies place and every time do, I would see a silver or white 4Runner. All I could do was drool and think about getting one. Fast forward to March 2014 and wanting to take the family outdoor more where my current ride wasn't able to, I picked up my 2014 Limited. At first I was okay with a base model but I was spoiled with wanting all these creature comforts features in my Lexus and if I was going to shell out this much, might as well get what I want and the Limited was it, especially with the Redwood interior. =) Being the only 4Runner with redwood interior in Ca, I negotiated over the phone and drove 2hrs to make the purchase. And here it is. At the time of purchased I had no clue or intention of making it what it is today but as you can see that didn't happen.

Nothing too adventurous that a stock 4Runner can't do. It's different for everyone but I think tires are the first and most beneficial mod for anyone to start. Having upgraded HID headlights and fogs was a nice touch and inexpensive and of coarse a mild lift is great but should be later down the line after you have driven more and define the type of use you want to make out of your 4runner.

My off road adventures will likely be few and tame. I was mainly looking for a masculine 3rd row seat vehicle. But I've already got the itch to mod after less than a week in the drivers seat. I can see that modding your 4Runner is like getting a tattoo. You can't just get one.
