The cost for a carbon fiber hood is probably not worth the weight reduction. And if this is going on a daily driver, its probably not recommended since flexing and cracking can happen at higher speeds especially if it is driven daily.

and of course top spacers to raise the front up
Stock hood doesn't weight that much
agreed on the cost and trust me a well made carbon hood doesn't flex. I have a full carbon hood on my 2010 Camaro and I don't drive it that much but I can tell you that at 170 mph when I lifted off the pedal it wasn't moving at all even when it peaked at 177 mph.

True, well made carbon fibers don't flex but will also set you back a pretty penny or two. For the cost of a carbon fiber hood, I'd rather get sliders instead. lol

Heck for the cost of carbon you could also buy new wheels & tires.
I really hate that we have to choose between the traction controls (Crawl, MTS, Rear Locker) of a Trail Edition and the sweet features of the Limited Edition.
Have you explored the limits of the Limited? I doubt I'm ever going to attempt the Rubicon, but I'd like to feel safe in some fairly challenging trails.
So, I've really been torn.
Also, did you have to replace the X-REAS suspension system for your lift? Or, does that play just fine with your mods?

I was curious. Did you ever come across a solution for a center cap on the TE37s? I never thought about it until some dude at discounttire asked me about it... Not that it bothers me too much. I rolled with it on the 3rd gen for a few years before I swapped them to my current rig.
Keep your 08 and get a 5th gen also:eyebrows:

I would love to but I would be all over it if there was a diesel or V8 option with better fuel efficiency
Both would be nice options especially a diesel. My wife has a v8 4th gen.

Amazing transformation! My business partner has a Limited and I love the ventilated seats, but I don't really like the exterior look of the Limited. You have the best of both worlds! Well done.

T4R LE goals, damn.. Dope looking rig! Inspired to do the bumper swamp, again. I've been bouncing the idea around between metal and this swap. I honestly would prefer the low profile unit under the SR5/TE bumper. Sorry if I missed it in all the posts but did you average the same cost as others reported here or did you salvage all the parts to save a few bucks doing the swap?

I used the stock TE/SR5 rocker panels
No pic but you should be able to find alot posted on Google
The front swap didnt cost me anything as I had someone local that wanted to do the switch. The only thing that cost me was the TRD Pro garnish
