Maintenance Light came on

Hi. I have a 2005 4Runner SR5 2WD V6 with 103k on it and my maintenance light came on while driving yesterday. Anyone know what makes the light come on? Also, what kind of maintenance should be done with this many miles? Any info or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I'd love to check the manual but when I bought the 4Runner, used, there was not a manual with the vehicle. But I would also like info or advice as to what maintenance should be done at this many miles. Hoping someone who's been there, done that, could offer that info.

you're not gonna get much in the way of replies as you didn't bother to search or google answers to your questions. there is a LOT of info on this board if look for it. as far as why the light came on, two possible causes.

1. your truck needs a new engine OR
2. it's on a timer and goes off every so often
