major problem on a 22 re

i have had my runner a while now and after wrecking it only cosmecit beside i bent the door mount but any ways a little while back i did an oil change and now suddenly i cant get it to register oil i know it has enough it doesnt tick or whine but its starting to scare me that iam going to hurt my beloved 4runner when i first pull the dipstick out a drop at the end and put it back after cleaning the tip and pulling it back out nothings there i crawled underneither no leaks and its not burning rich and my pcv hose are oil free iam open to any idea on how to fix it

What do you mean by 'register oil'?

If it's not on the stick... Add some.

Make sure it's not just hard to see. New oil can be hard to see on the stick.

A little while back meaning about begining of october and 5 quarts of oil and i dont get any oil what so ever on the dip stick ive have sense put in 3 more quarts and it just is covering the tip of the stick

There has to be something really, obviously wrong with this situation. Since your oil isn't leaking out or burning off (and you aren't pouring it into your radiator I will assume), then I wonder if your dipstick is: A) the correct dipstick for your engine. B) The dipstick is not making its way into your pan far enough because of an obstruction (gasket? piece of trash maybe?). C) The dipstick tube has pulled away from your block and bottoms out on the top of the stick too soon. From memory the tube only goes in the block around half an inch, worth checking out though.
