Make it Louder!!!

First off, I should say that I am in love with my 2008 Toyota 4runner. The only thing I would change is how loud it is. I am not looking for a roar my windows out of my car, I would just like to know that something is there. I don't know about the other models, but the stock 4th gen v8 sounds like the engine is in "luxury" mode. You really have to punch it before you can hear anything. I know I can replace the exhaust, but I am quite hesitant spending $500. Any suggestions?

I am not too excited about getting the CAI for all of the contrasting views about how it can possibly let the air run "too free" and not filter well enough, The Flowmaster looked like a really cool option; however, the 2008 4runner v8 was not listed. Possibly discontinued? Thanks for the links!!!!

I just installed a Super 44. I LOVE the sounds. Some say it's too much but I am in love with it. I have a CAI though as well.

ive used aftermarket (both wet & dry)filters on numerous vec.s for around 20+ years with no problems except having to clean the maf sensor every now & then.(which you dont have to do with a dry filter) i had the same k&n cai in my last car for 11 years & never had any trouble. to me slightly better throttle response is worth it. but to each his own. INJEN/AMSOIL Diesel and Gasoline Cold Air Intake System heres 6 pages of different mufflers including flowmaster44 on page 3. Muffler - Auto Parts Warehouse good luck
