1998 V6 4x4 4Runner

Purchased 11/1/2014 with 68,200 miles

I sold my 2000 4x4 TRD V6 Tacoma after investing a lot of time and money into it but I plan to do the same with this one. I just decided to make a build thread so I could follow my progress.

Here's the Tacoma right before I sold it.

Running boards removed. Pro Comp 7069 (16x8) installed with Goodyear Duratrac 265/75/16 tires. Rock sliders from my Xtracab Tacoma mocked/cut to fit the 4Runner. Now to bedliner the sliders/bumper/skid plates.

Front windows tinted 35%. Windshield strip tinted 5%.

Last night my friend and I rolled on some Raptor Bedliner onto the Allpro Apex bumper, sliders and skid plates

Allpro Apex bumper, Warn M8000 winch, Allpro sliders, roof rack, black Gorilla acorn lug nuts and suspension (front- OME 883/OME struts. rear- Toytec Superflex/Bilstein 5100 struts) installed.

Warn black hawse installed.

Few months ago my buddy (pictured) and I grinded off the surface rust from the frame and applied Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. It looks much better now. Hopefully I won't have any issues in the future.

Didn't get any pictures but we have since replaced/installed the passenger side CV axle, driver side inner tie rod, extended stainless steel brake lines all around, Cobra WX ST II CB radio, reverse cam connected to my Garmin Dezl, Kenwood Excelon x497 receiver, and a Kicker amp/sub. Finally ready to take her out. Here's a couple pics of my first minor trail run and maxed out flex test.

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with it. It really is in showroom condition inside and out. Only downside is I bought it from the northeast so the frame has some surface rust. I bought some Eastwood products and plan to wire brush and spray it in the near future.

Do you guys think the ARB air locker is worth the investment and time? I currently have no locker.
