Good morning gents.
So I have a 1994 V6 4x4 4runner Auto reading a code 41 -TPS Signal and 53 Knock Sensor signal. Currently trouble shooting so I am putting this up for some ideas.
drove to work yesterday, all was well. started her up at lunch and BAM, 1 rough start sounded like she wasnt getting much fuel, she died, turned her back over great start no idle issue, just thought it was a fluke. Idle warmed her up and sounded good. got to 2nd gear and 15 mph and the engine light comes on.... ran fine all the way home. The check light does not come on with startup and does not turn on with idle. she sat for 20 min at idle no light. drive to about 10-15mph get the light. wth. jumped the terminals on the diag got 41 and 53, I do not have an audible knock and she doesnt idle rough or stumble. shifting on the auto seems normal and she does not seem like she is hesitant, but now that im paranoid maybe haha....
took a gander and saw somebody on YT say unplug TPS to see if she runs better and/also if you jump the diag ports while running she should drop in RPM, meaning TPS is good.
:help:
