As the title implies, MERRY CHRISTMAS! :) I hope Santa is good to you all this year, and I wish you all a Happy, Healthy, Holiday Season!

Merry Christmas (or respective holiday) to everyone!!! I got two "best gifts" this year. My beautiful wife (well, that happened back in August, but still) and, after two years of waiting, I finally get to ship out for the USAF. It has been a tedious process but I am finally there :50cal: And of course I leave on what would be the fist valentines day my wife and I get as a married couple

My three favorite presents have been having good health, a supportive family, and a good job. Everything else falls into place after that. As one gets older (and wiser?), priorities become more clearly focused.

Thanks for making it an enjoyable year to own the 4runner.
 
Merry X-Mas everyone!!! Best gifts?? Don't know yet But I'll tell you what, having my Wife/kids around is enough to get excited about. Once some of you become parents, you'll know the feeling... :reddance:

Amen to that Bigfish! Actually, I'm a huge advocate for Christmas being celebrated as a Religious Holiday. I work in retail, and find it quite disheartning to see how Companies try to Commercialize it now. This year, to make things less about the gifts, and more about getting the family together, we did Chris Kringle, and placed a $50.00 limit. This limited the spending, and enabled us to enjoy the holiday a little more!

Last night, we went out on a small road trip to my parents farm for Christmas Eve. The drive there was uneventful, we didn't have any snow. After getting settled in, we opened some gifts for the kids, and then the adults, then had a huge dinner, played some pool, listened to some X-mas music, and ate some more!

The ride home was CRAZY! It snowed like 6 inches in a matter of no time, and visibility was HORRIBLE! Of coarse, the 4Runner got us home with no problems!

Today, my girls get to open Santa's gifts, and then we have both sides of the family over for dinner! Should have around 10 or 12 people around the kitchen table, it's gonna be great!

Take care of yourselves, and drive safe if you're on the road today!

P.S. My best gifts, a Jack kit with Jack stands and Wheel Chocks, and a Torque Wrench! Still waiting to see what my Chris Kringle gets me today...but I'm thinking these will most likely be the best gifts......
 
Agree with BFAD. I'm Christian; and while not everyone echoes my sentiments, most will agree that materialism is not the Reason For The Season™. As far as I am concerned, I'm with LittleCaesar as well - a supportive family, lovely wife, a job that not only pays well but that I truly LOVE to do, a spiffy 4Runner, etc.

Last, but not least, my Father in heaven, having made it all possible in the first place through His Son. :) (Sorry if this is taken as proselytization; it's how I live, and what I believe; YMMV, but while I don't cram it down people's throats normally, don't expect me to water it down.)

My gifts so far:

- a buncha shirts (which is nice, now that I've lost 40 lbs or so in the last 6 months)
- a few odds and ends for the T4R
- 'smell-good' stuff
- coffee cup (:D)
- body wash
- and lingerie for my wife (which is really a present for me

My favorite gift was seeing how excited my 6 year old was. He was having a blast and came over to hug & kiss us after each of the gifts we got him.

My second favorite was the lingerie I got for my wife (really a gift for me)

Merry Christmas everybody!! I hope all you guys and gals have had a great one with your family and loved ones. Here in NC my wife and I (and Santa) totally spoiled the crap out of my 7yo daughter with more presents than I ever got in any 2 years combined. You know that's what its all about though... The look in her eyes and smile on her face all day today is the best thing ever. My wife has to put up with my tightwad ass all year long so it felt good to see her get everything she wanted too including a ring she's wanted for a while. I guess the main point of my post is that I'm so thankful that God blessed me with the family I have and enjoying the holidays with them makes life wonderful. God bless each and every one of you here on the 4runner forum and I hope you have had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!

That's funny man! That's almost exactly how the Holiday went for me and my family this year too! Except you guys probably used Maple Syrup on the mashed potatoes instead of gravy right?

What's with you and Maple Syrup??? :hunter: HE HE HE! We use gravy like every other civilized Nation! lol!
