Michigan Trails

So my brother just got a jeep wrangler with a huge 5" lift and nice big tires. I'm getting ready to install a 3" lift and 1" body lift. We are looking to do some trails. Are there any in the Oakland County, Michigan area?

I'd like to know this as well. I haven't been able to find anything in Oakland/Macomb county. Once you head further up north (or west) there are plenty, but none to be found in SE/Metro-Detroit area.

There aren't many, if any, ORV trails for SUVs in Oakland County.

The closest one to Oakland County is the Mounds. It is part of the Genesee County park system. I have heard very mixed reviews about it and have been reluctant to take my vehicle there because of the horror stories.

There are trails near West Branch and I have heard good feedback about them.

Agreed - But I've heard that during the week is a little better.

I'm interested in finding local places to go as well. I'm in Oakland County and just installed the OME lift not too long ago. I'd like to have something nearby, but I think I'm out of luck.

On a similar note, I'll be going to Drummond Island this weekend as a side trip to camping. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that they can share? Are there any cool spots I should drive to? I've heard the 'Adventure Trail' is fun, but is it a little tricky for a novice driver?
