this is "The Black Pearl" shortly after I bought her... just tinted front windows added in-channel vent visors and 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler RTS tires

Mike, I truly admire the upkeep on the black paint. It really is flawless by those pics. Especially the hood. I'm always reminded of it when I see your sig. Good job dude. :bigok:
 
thanks guys.... I take pride in my truck and always washing and waxing.. its a pain but the end result is well worth it.... it looks that good in person as well! people are always stopping me in parking lots and telling me that is the cleanest truck they have seen... Im flattered none the less

its 2wd so it will never be in the mud or woods... just the occasional muddy grass in the pasture and on the levee when I go to my property in the country to shoot :cannon:
 
Im trying to save up for some new wheels and tires.. but it is hard right now because real estate is deathly slow... but I am joining the Fire Dept. here in Baton Rouge so I will be soon making more money..

anyhow these are the rims I am going to get... 20's of course

tight work bro, this is my favorite 4runner in the 3rd Gen section!

Where did you get the clear corners, and what about the rain inserts??

My 4runner is that Oak color..wondering if it would look as nice..

How much does a bar like that run??

hhaha I dont think so man! as much as I love off roading not in "The Black Pearl" though! My buddy and I are in halfs on a 96 chevy stepside 4x4 we are building to mud and tear up... we got an EFI 327 that needs to be rebuilt donated to us from another buddy, we are about to get started on it soon! so I will have something to play in on rainy days!

3rd brake light... also dotted the screws with a black sharpie so they didnt stick out like a sore thumb

hahha thanks man.. I even have a lil skull and crossbone sticker above my draw tight on the bumper! .. my friends always laugh when I tell em to hurry up and get in The Black Pearl is gonna set sail!!!!

thanks for the compliments.. its alot of work but well worth it.

I love "The Black Pear"...haha, and I abs. have sport hood envy, that is at the top of my list. Your sport looks like a factory oem hood from Toyota, is it?

So how much, and where did you get it... i seen a few on ebay from a aftermarket dealer, but i just don't trust aftermarket stuff like I do Toyota you know!!.....maybe I could get into a little bump-up too, haha

Where did you get those in-channel vent visors? I've looked online and ebay and can't find any.

Thanks man! The hood is a factory toyota hood. I got it through a body shop down here that a friend of mine owns. It was like $550 total with insert and all. I would be a lil leary of the ebay stuff.. although I hear some people say its fine.. :)

thanks man.. I know its not a TJM or anything like that.. I got it strictly for looks.. my truck never really leaves the pavement other than some grassy field... =)
