Hi everyone,

This is my 2005 4Runner 4x4 Sport that I have had since late 2010. My wife bought this while I was deployed and I have been putting work into it since I got back. This is my second 4Runner and I really like how it has turned out. I have built it for my off-road expeditions so that it will get me where ever I want to go and be able to sustain myself for days. I have put emphasis on the Camping gear, Suspenison to take the abuse of the harsh desert and mountains. For performance I have added a Rotrex C30 Supercharger kit with a water to air intercooler from URD. I have put over 60K miles on it and it has been a great vehicle to me. I have always done my own work on my vehicles and I can proudly say that THIS IS MY BUILD!

thats sick, really an awesome truck. i really want to get my back organized with something like you have, did you do it yourself or did you have it made somewhere? Also, its obvious you put a lot of thought into your rig, anything you would have done differently in hindsight, maybe like the order you installed the parts on the truck or if you would have used any different parts all together?

Thank you. I built the drawers myself and do all my own work. In hindsight there were Dom purchases I regret and some I wish I did long ago.

Yeah I had the same experience with the last car I built up and it seems its kind of unavoidable, especially when there's so much cool stuff to do to these things it can be hard to choose what to do next

That's a badass rig!!! Really digging the seats. Especially the boosters being that I take my kids with me on trips to. I'm planning on doing something similar once I get my sas done. Keep the pics coming and thanks for you service!!!!!

awesome rig! i'm really digging that rear tire swing away hitch you have! where could i find one like that for sale? my new tires are in the mail as i type this and i'm gonna have to throw my spare on the roof rack until i can find something like your set up for the spare! i've checked out the cbi offroad fold down hitch carrier, but it just seems like it would get in the way. i really like the design of yours a lot more.

Seriously cool truck and I'm truly jealous of all the adventures you've been on. Interestingly, I went to Death Valley in my 4Runner about a week after you guys did this February. Made it up Lippincott Pass without injury in basically bone stock shape (nothing but A/T tires). I was only slightly scared. I've got a little lift now and your pictures and trip reports definitely make me want to explore some more!

I need more air over the intercooler radiator. So How do I do this?

I picked this up cheap I think if i take out the middle and put some mess up in there I will get some more air over the coolers.

I decided that the way it sits now it doesn't get enough air over it. I'm sure the 7th injector cools the charge a little too. However with as much stuff that needs cool air in that little space, i think its time to try something else.




That is the idea I was trying for. I found [MENTION=72408]Mytoy4[/MENTION] 's write up, that should help a lot. Hopefully it turns out that nice.
