Fortunately I was able to ride with my son in his 80 series the second day.

What aftermarket brand CV was that? How many miles on them?
 
Ouch! I'm crossing my fingers that my new Napa cv and my stock cv both hold up at Raush for the FJNE run!

Typically, it is over-drooping the front suspension. An IFS lift begins the droop, (picture lifting a length of string right in the middle); and then increased travel over terrain may over stress the CVJ at full droop. If lifted, and off roading, consider limit straps up front for increased prevention of cvj issues.

Thanks for the input, am I correct to assume you're experienced in this? I see some rcv shafts back there? Or some sort of high-angle boot? I'm curious for my build.

Thanks. Experienced for sure, though simply from working on my truck and reading lots and lots of build threads. No expert. The RCV's were my last ditch effort before doing the SAS. At that time, the RCV's for my 3rd gen were still developmental. Which means lots of frustrating trial and error. Their trial and error, my frustration. That was several years ago and I am sure they are sorted by now.
