Modded rear bumper.

So I decided to "bob" my rear bumper. I can't really justify paying about 2 grand for a rear bumper right now, but I wanted more of a departure angle. It started off as trimming the sides but then I got a little carried away. Eventually I am going to weld some recovery points on to the main frame cross support.

I don't know how to rotate my pics can someone please help? I also don't know why it does it, I rotated the pics on my phone and it still does it.
 
My hitch has hit but never the bumper. Just got back from Moab. You must do some crazy wheeling.

I really don't. I just got myself really stuck and the rear bumper turned into a sand mud anchor.IMG_3894.JPG

It took me weeks to clean her up. She still has a lot of mud in the nooks and crannies. That's what I get for following a short jeep into small holes.IMG_3896.JPG

Are those clevis' just face welded? If so, be careful if you use them to yank anyone out, or if you're the one being yanked out. I do like the overall idea though.
 
They are, it was the only way. We tried to penetrate the material as much as we good without compromising the metal. IMG_3957.JPG
