Modifications for a 1" body lift?

I know I know, you guys might say this topic was beat to death. But honestly, I searched a ton and didn't really find anything helpful about a 1", ony 2" and 3".

So... I wanna add another inch because my tire rubs a bit on a full turn and ripped off my damn fender flair haha. It won't eliminate the rubbing, but it'll make it better. One inch isn't much at all, and I was wondering what I'd have to do to make it happen, thanks!

Oh and my truck's description is in my signature.

So from what I read, it doesn't seem to bad at all for a 1". I don't think I'd have to make any modifications. And my friend's dad is gunna make me the blocks at his machine shop for free. Every inch counts!

Keep in mind that it will seperate your front bumper an inch from your grill. The kit I bought off the internet (around $100 for the kit) came with the drop down for the radiator and extension for the front bumper, but I did 3 inch. I dont know if it really makes a huge difference with 1 inch, but if it does, definitely worth buying the kit instead of doing a custom job. Stick with an inch, or no more than 2. You see way too much frame with anything more, and I regret getting the 3inch and plan on down grading.

Yea definitely know what your saying. A 1" separation will be barely visible between my front bumper anyways. And I won't need to worry about the rear bumper cuz, well, I don't have one! haha. I don't need to pay $100 for the kit when I could make the same thing (probably better) for free.

Not to pirate this thread but can somebody please clarify the price for my truck with a 1" lift w/ and w/o upgraded hardware. thanks!! 95 4r 4x4 v6

What do you mean clarify the price? Shop around if you want to buy a 1" kit and see what they cost. If I were to use a body lift I would make my own. You can get a block of ABS plastic and drill the lift blocks yourself with a hole saw. Then buy some longer bolts and you're good to go.

Dont say that... people will read it and do it.

DONT USE HOCKEY PUCKS.... they weather, crack and fall apart over time.

Yea i've head its a bad idea. I think people kinda say it as a joke

"hey dude can you lift my truck?"
"Sure bro. How many hockey pucks you want?"

Hey guys, we forgot about my steering shaft. It doesn't look like it can extend much... I've seen the little extensions you can buy, but i think i may need one maybe? input anyone?

What He Said !

Ok guys, just making sure. My friend just made all 10 of them, a few days ago. All I need to do is get bolts for it now, and my buddy's gotta lift we can use to raise up the body. I'll let you know how it goes!

I'm raising this thread again because I found myself on the sam spot here.... planing to install 1.5" lift and would like to be sure about modifications.

Do I have to put steering shaft extension and drop down radiator brackets?
I did my homework reading on this topic but just wanna be sure about it and that guys who already installed similar didn't had any later issues ....

Bumpers are not consideration for now.

Tnx
