Mods/designers- autoresize for pic please

Is there some reason this forum doesn't have the capability to automatically resize uploaded pics to the allowable dimensions?

Every single pic on my cellphone, that I'd love to share on this site, is WELL over the 137kb sizing. Other forums Ive used the site reformats the pics so uploading is a single effortless process. With this site I have to resize and resave each pic individually in paint (or equiv) and THEN proceed to upload them.

Is there something that is preventing this site from adapting to the more efficient system?

There’s a choose image size option that appears after you select a photo in the “manage attachments” tab

That appears to be an iOS specific option not something that appears on my Windows desktop.

I don't understand why the site itself cant resize pics like most other forums Ive been part of. Its just an unnecessary annoying step, especially when I'd like to upload multiple pics from my phone to share with you guys.

Same reason why the site keeps getting hacked probably. Not enough resources to manage it any more than it already is.

This site runs vBulletin 3, which was initially released in 2004, and if I recall went end of life in 2017. By modern standards it's a dinosaur and there aren't a lot of off the shelf mods that do the modern kinds of things you'd want like this.

Any of the sites still running it are basically on life support at this point, especially if their owners aren't actively working towards migrating to a modern platform like XenForo.
