MomRunner Makeover

This is my first 4Runner and LOVE it. I have been lurking and seeing everyone's mods and I have caught the bug. Figured I post pics of my stock and updates as I add changes.

I already have the WeatherTech mats thrown into my deal just waiting on delivery. I am starting small and will work from there. Items ordered thus far:

1) Fog lens ordered in pink.
Toyota 4Runner SR5 & Trail (2014, 2015, 2016) Fog Light Covers

2) Plastidip for the wheels and chrome badges and roof rack.

She has been one of my inspirations that I can in fact give it a whirl.
You can do anything you put your mind to. [emoji6]

I've been covered in paint dust for the last two days in my garage. Orange hand cleaner in the shower has paid for itself. [emoji15]

Would you believe I looked at that same 4Runner? I need to wait a couple more months before I can pull the trigger but I like the one you got.

Doubt it as they don't flash.

Suppose it depends on how the police feel like interpreting/enforcing the codes but I would say that pink is enough like red to be wary of § 547.305(b):

§ 547.305. RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF LIGHTS. (a) A motor
vehicle lamp or illuminating device, other than a headlamp,
spotlamp, auxiliary lamp, turn signal lamp, or emergency vehicle or
school bus warning lamp, that projects a beam with an intensity
brighter than 300 candlepower shall be directed so that no part of
the high-intensity portion of the beam strikes the roadway at a
distance of more than 75 feet from the vehicle.
(b) Except as expressly authorized by law, a person may not
operate or move equipment or a vehicle, other than a police vehicle,
with a lamp or device that displays a red light visible from
directly in front of the center of the equipment or vehicle.

You can research the rest (or not, whatever) to see what the penalties are. Probably just a misdemeanor but might involve court costs above and beyond a "fixit" ticket.

This X2. A trooper wont hesitate to stop you if they see it.

Lol...my brother is a DPS officer and says color will be okay. He is more worried about decreased visibility and saftey.

I have seen yellow on a build here which looks nice, so if it doesn't workout I can play with it as they lens stickers aren't very expensive.

Good luck with your build. The yellow is quite a bit better for driving in fog anyways.

Pink fog lights are in no way legal, any actual DPS Trooper would know that. Of course your brother isn't going to ticket you for it.
