I think the TRD Pro looks cool, I wish there were more color options. My experience with "limited edition" cars/trucks is they had the most issues with limited support in the long run.

I believe the rims are lighter and the tires are the same size as stock.
I'm happy to be getting a TRD Pro. I was going to get a Grand Cherokee with a diesel but I am definitely leaning away from all the fancy electronics and complications that vehicles such as that tend to have.
I want a more simple, tough, non-station wagon (no offense to Subaru's as they are tough), SUV that will be reliable.
It's going to be real nice to have another 4Runner!
Here's my crappy cell phone pic. Much better pics from people with real cameras over on the TRD Pro thread. Standard black for now, but SW dimpled tread plate sliders in about a month from the recent group buy in about a month.
Definitely didn't buy it for the mileage (same with my previous 2010 LE)!

This statement and order has shown up a few times in the thread in one form or another. Methinks we're confusing most "produced" with most "popular" folks. I do believe Webster's has a different definition for each word. :nerd:
If we're going to define popularity based on numbers produced it will be the SR5 hands down. Which would make something like the Corolla more popular than, say, the Corvette. I know which one I can afford. That doesn't necessarily make it my popular favorite. I bought my base Trail because it was the model I wanted. It was an SR5 that caught my eye, but it was a Trail that I sought out afterward. If that dealer had only Limited Editions on the lot I would have driven my Tundra back to the rig. As for local/regional popularity, it probably depends on where you are. My small town local dealer can barely get a 4Runner period. Don't even ask about a 4WD version. Heck, they've had a 2WD FJ on the lot for the past month.
Here is another question. Are the 2WD versions sold with these 3 monikers or are they just sold as 4Runners? I'm sure there is probably a Limited Edition (luxury version) in 2WD, but I'm pretty sure there can't be a Trail Edition because the 4WD system is what defines that. Is there a 2WD SR5 version?
Then mine is not working properly! Can I get it fixed under warranty?

4Runner's have the same engine. Corolla vs Corvette engines are much, much different.

TRD Pro is sweet-looking, it's definitely a beast, but for most people it's just not a practical everyday suv. Mpg is one BIG reason.

Thankfully, yes, but oddly enough they don't sell many of them here is Southern Arizona. Sure, there are a lot of folks who take their vehicles off road. But I firmly believe that for every 4WD that goes off-road, there are one or two that never leave the safe, dry pavement of our roads. We certainly don't have to worry about a snowstorm, and for anybody who knows how to drive on the occasional ice, it is the other drivers who scare us, not the lack of 4WD.
I haven't even put 30 miles on it yet, but I expect my mileage will be similar to my LE which was 18.0 in mixed use.
