What I find hilarious is I just joined this forum where a majority of people would rather argue vs comment in favor of what the subject is actually about. My subject didn't say "let's argue about it". Now I know why people avoid forums like this in favor of reddit. What a time waster. Country hicks + T4R forum = un-educated pricks who just want to argue.

Sorry it's the truth...this is my last post. Sorry I ever joined. Moderators.....please look at my history. I posted 3 subjects. Instead of members chiming in and commenting not only did they talk down to a new member, but they had the nerve to say I started an argument by posting a subject relevant to what this forum is about....wow. Toyota makes T4R's for everyone's budget. It didn't mean we should argue. We should find out what options, etc....can be added for less for people who might not know about these certain upgrades.

Nuff said.

So you start a thread about the different trim levels and popularity of said trim levels. Start it by bashing hood scoops (which is fine you don't have to understand the awesomeness), continue to bash Trail guys and gals with your TRD pro comments, wonder why Trail people are less than ammused with your comments, and cry when your feelings get hurt. If you dish it out you need to find a way to take it better my friend. Otherwise go enjoy your new purchase elsewhere.

Your original post question is completely subjective with no factual basis. What do you expect? You are going to get subjective answers. Then when people answer subjectively you go and make fun of the group as a whole. Great way to make friends. Hopefully the next board you join, you might be a little more considerate.

I just looked at your previous thread starts, all of them had answers to your questions, you were getting helped, no one was "talking down" to you. Some smart ass answers sure by members that are always smart asses, no one was insulting you, unlike yourself.

Dang. Beat me to it! After saying he would never post again, I've counted four more posts (I think, really don't care enough to go back for accuracy). I like all 4Runners, because they are solid, body on frame, reliable vehicles that don't look like the rest of the aerodynamic, "stylish", unibody, etc. stuff out there. To each their own. It would be nice if OP could just enjoy his SR5 and share that with us, instead of bringing us this other crap.

btw: I think that Desert Dawg and JRandom are being unfair to 16 year olds, as most that I've known recently are fine, upstanding, respectful people. LOL

I do think a minor attitude adjustment might be in order - the OP was just a little over-sensitive.
Personally, I have found the members on this forum to be very friendly and accommodating. Oh sure, a few people are a bit quick to suggest you use the search function, even 'though you have just spent the past two hours trying to use the stupid search function, and it would be easier to just answer the question. Some people forget that they were new at this game once themselves, but for the most part, everyone is usually very helpful!
Can't see why the OP was so upset and rude. Don't think I will lose a lot of sleep over this one.

Actually, I was happy to save about $4K and take my trail premium over the TRD Pro. Reason being, I can get a lot of mileage out of that cash. If I want to lift the suspension and get different wheels I can -- and still save cash for other goodies. And that $4K delta is with KDSS on my TEP.

Net: there are few things (if any) that the TRD pro will do that the TE won't. I mean, other than showing off its fancy badged oil cap and floor mats.

Given the production numbers, you're likely right about it commanding a bit more on the resale market. It'll probably be the 99 'Highlander' most folks drool over in the 3rd gen. Still, I'm not owning my 4Runner strictly for resale value (All 4Runners will be good for that though)... Owning just for resale value is for collectors -- I plan on driving mine. If I want to do any modifying, I can do it on my own terms and get the exact setup I want.

For the record, I giggle a bit every time I read 2WD 4Runner. Something about it seems unnatural to me... This coming from a guy that grew up learning how to drive in a 2WD Suburban (including a driver's test parallel parking that beast).
