I'm fighting an issue with embedding links in posts. It's a known issue with not so easy fix.

Technical mumbo jumbo: vbulletin uses a library called pcre which uses regular expressions to parse out links in posts/pms and turn them into bbcode urls. Every text posted on the board goes through that library, setting it to blank because of that bug. I had to change vbulletin code to not call the parsing function, so that we can still post. However, turning urls into links will not work until we fix it.

Work in progress.

Issue fixed. If you have posts that did not create links, simply edit and resave them.

Couldn't view anything when logged in because of this:

You have empty profile fields that are required to be filled in. Please visit your profile page to update these fields.

So I went ahead and filled in the blanks necessary with this:

FWKN Bizniss

Please pardon the smarmyness of my doing that, but I never had to do it before so why should I now simply b/c of a new host site.

If it's on a new server why is it still SOO SLOWWWW? Seems like it must be running on an old 386 in somebody's basement using a 33kb dial up line. It takes FOREVER to open a thread or reply to a message!

Is it slow for everyone? Working fine for me.

This is the only site I truely enjoy and regularly go to that has consistent slow loading times. Most of the time it is fine, but this site has consistently caused me to have slow loading of pages, problem posting, etc, etc.

While it's not all the time, it is consistent. Early morning is generally fine. Around noon it's starts to get slow. Afternoon is fine again. Evening can be slow loading.

It's been slow for me for a long time, and I can't find a problem on my end.

I've rebooted my modem to no effect.

I've done pings, tracert that show no problems.

Last nite I posted in a couple of threads and it took forever.

There's a problem with this site, but I don't know what the problem is though.

FYI, I'm in Tucson, Cox cable.

Edit: I generally use FX, but have the same problems with IE9.

Tonite, Sunday, I'm getting messages that say: The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.

Yes, I've been working on performance issues, and have been restarting our web server. The issue is not yet resolved, but it's much better now.

I still get the "The Server closed the connection without sending any data" error quite often. Seems better as of late, but seem to experience it a lot with this site in general.

I just got this one twice in a row a few minutes ago:
