muffler broke/re-welded/now hitting back bar

Well this weekend has been a doozy for me. On Saturday my exhaust simply just broke free from the back side of the muffler, no signs of wear before just simply clean snapped on the back side. I took it to a shop to get re-welded. They did a great job on the weld but they must have been a tad off on the degree it was suppose to be because now it rattles where it bends over the back suspension/brace. it almost seems like its resting on it. Its a nasty annoying rattle too/worst in reverse. I tried to wrap heat wrap around it and it worked for about a day but worked right through the wrap. Not really sure what to do. The nuts/bolts for the pipe are rusted out, cant adjust.

I had the same problem when I had my muffler welded on. To solve it, I took a couple hose clamps and wrapped them around the rubber exhaust hangers. I tightened them up enough to where the pipe raised enough not to rattle. It's been fine ever since.

Me 3. I ended up breaking the welds, putting a little piece of wood between the pipe and rear bar- just while I re-weld it to keep the proper spacing.
