Muffler Replacement Questions on '97

I did do a search but the exhaust threads that came up were more along the lines of aftermarket ones and that's not what I'm looking for....

My wife has a bone stock '97 SR5 Automatic with an original muffler that has split down the side seam so I need to replace it. Advanced Auto has a Walker OEM replacement that goes from the flange immediately downstream of the Cat to the flange that is immediately downstream of the muffler (see picture). She commutes 10 miles total each day and has 90K miles on it total. We use it for trips since my 4Runner is lifted. We anticipate keeping this as her car until we have our third child (5-6 years away). I'm not interested in paying for additional performance but don't want to just get the cheapest since I only want to make this repair once. The price on the Walker was about $275. There was a less expensive brand that was <$200 but I was told it would not mate up quite as nicely with existing flanges. So hear are my questions:
1) Has anyone used a Walker brand muffler as a replacement?
2) Is the replacement as simple as disconnect the existing O2 sensor, disconnecting the two flanges, replacing the gaskets and installing the new muffler section and putting the 02 sensor back?
3) Any other direct replacement for under $300-$350 that would keep noise down and be an easy replacement that I should consider.

If I was you I would just take it to a muffler shop and tell them what you want. They can replace the pipe and muffler or just the muffler. It'd bet it'd be under $200 too.

you could replace just the muffler for under $150 installed. If you want to go flange to flange, there is a company called MAC that sells them on eBay for $109.

Cat back I paid $175 for everything new. Yeah, a methhead did it, but it is new and sounds decent.
