Unfortunately it does. I have really considered modifying it and trying my hand at stitching in a flap so it can still be used. I honestly rarely use the mirror, but since I got the visor organizer I have found myself attempting to use the mirror only to remember I can't hwell:

I agree that all 3 of these are great low cost adds. I have #1 in yellow; I don't think it does anything at all besides appearance, but it looks cool for ten bucks The other two definitely make a difference on the cheap!

Before I added my cargo box, I also used the OEM storage net that I stole from my wife's Highlander. Crazy how often that thing came in handy. Probably $20 new from Toyota (which means it is likely $65.99 in reality).

Apparently the 5th gen cargo net is trash cause it is not elastic. You can order the 4th gen one on amazon which fits and is elastic for ~$20

2. HID light kit from XENON Depot w/ Philips 4300K upgrade. I also added the following Philips Vision replacement LED bulbs: map lights, dome light, and license plate lights. I considered upgrading all interior halogen bulbs to LED, but for minimal expense with biggest impact I settled on what I listed above. And of course, there is a coupon code for 20% off: SS20. Less than $200.

3. OEM All Weather Floor Liners Black (PT908-89160-02). I debated between Weathertech and Husky, read several threads, and even watched some YouTube videos. In the end it came down to fit, I like the way the OEM mats fit versus the aftermarket solutions. If you don't plan on having mud or water pool inside the vehicle, this may be a factor for your decision (I needed better protection than carpet, but not the extreme protection of Weathertech or Husky). Less than $120.

4. Weathertech TechShade. I definitely overpaid for this item, but I couldn't find anything else and Weathertech is a trusted brand in the industry. Less than $60.

5. Black Out Coverlays for Rear of 4Runner 2014+. With shipping, total cost was $80.64.

7. Toyota 4Runner Owners Manual. If you already know your VIN number, you can register it on the Toyota Owners website. This is FREE, and I guess would fall under the category of making your 4Runner easier to work on.

Also on the cheap side, matching front window tint will be one of the first things I do when I take delivery. Should run around $80. Another option would be to tint the front windshield with Llumar Air Blue 80; it won't make the window any darker (you wouldn't want to anyway), but it will protect you and your dash from UV rays.

What number (%), brand, of tinting are you using for the front side Windows to match the rear tinting?

Also, can you provide a link for the LED interior lighting?

I'm planning to go with FormulaOne Pinnacle 30 or 35, but I would not have a specific percentage or brand set in your mind if your goal is too match the rears. Rather, allow the installer to pick the percentage that best matches the rear (just make sure that the film brand is reputable and offers a guarantee against fading or discoloring). Note that 4Runners naturally have a strong green hue color in the front door glass, which is completely a different color hue from the rears. Given this, I too am not set on FormulaOne. If 3M matches better, that's what I'll go with.

Use the link from Xenon Depot for the LED interior lighting. You'll be able to use the vehicle match feature from their website, which will specify all the bulbs you need/want. Once you have the bulb numbers, you can either purchase from Xenon Depot or just buy the bulbs a la carte from Amazon or eBay depending on your preference. I chose to go with Xenon Depot for simplicity (one stop shop) and because I wanted Philips bulbs. Several forum members have bought all-in-one kits from eBay and it looks just fine.
