Hey Guys, Been a while.
But I am beginning my '98 build. But doing a few upgrades to my 06 Sport. I would like some peoples opinions.
So I cam across a great deal 2 weeks ago. A set of BFG Rugged Trail P265/70R16 on a set of 06 TT TRD 16"........w only 5k mi. So I had to scoop them up since the rims were beefier then the stock flower rims that came on my SPORT. Plus I could put my stock flower rims on my 98 and replace the stock 98's that are really aged and oxidizing.
After getting them I realized that they wouldnt fit the sport edition models since they came with 17" rims and 13.5" rotors. All SR5 models come with 16" rims and 13" rotors.
Well I went out and purchased new calipers and rotors for the SR5 and everything bolted right up. Calipers are the same size except the 2 mounting bolts are closer to allow the smaller rotor and the 16" rim to have clearance.
I knew it would degrade my braking any difference. Which it didnt.
But anyways I havent seen these rims on any T4R. But I need new tires which I got for a steal and free rims basically. the rims are growing on me more , but what do yall think.
