My 4runner is slow. 5vz-fe

Truck has 280,000 miles 5vz auto trans
1999 Toyota 4Runner limited v6 2wd
I got the truck with a bad engine. Replaced with a low mileage engine from a local junkyard.
Truck ran awesome for 90 days.
One day I slammed on the brakes and the fronts slapped locked up. drove the truck home
Ever since the truck is slow as hell.

I pulled off the front calipers. The the rotors and one is toasted.
But I haven't replaced yet.
I have swapped out all the coils.
Cleaned the maf
Replaced complete throttle body with another one.
Still it has no power.
If I push it to the floor from a dead stop ( cold - hot) it makes little power. Engine revs. It's slow getting up on the highway. And if I downshift to the floor it makes zero power and makes a rattling noise.
Help me please.

is this for real or are you just trolling?...

replace your calipers and pads along with your rotors, stop doing things to the motor. your front calipers are toast. thats why your rotor was trashed, they are froze up and holding you back. just replace your front brakes (pads, calipers, and rotors) and see what that does -also it would be a good idea for you to flush the brake system, as im sure that fluid is cooked too by now.

I jacked up the front tires. And they turn pretty easly. Today I went and salvaged a bunch of brake parts off a wrecked 4runner.
Mine is a 99. And the calipers and rotors I got are off a 2000
It seems I'm going to have to trim my dust shields. As I tried to get them on today and it was in the way.

sounds like you got the larger sport brakes. are your wheels going to fit with them? I know factory had the 16" wheels with those brakes, but I've never paid attention to if the factory 15" wheels fit over them. Of course if you aren't on factory wheels none of this will be a problem.

It's 106*F degrees outside today. But I should get around too messing with the brakes.
I have factory 16" wheels.

The brake rotors I salvaged are like 4 inches smaller. What gives there .

here let me try and save you some time and hassel. just go down to napa or the local auto parts store and just buy some new/remaned rotors/calipers and pads and be done with it... buying used brakes is never a good idea -you dont know what your getting and you could end up with the same problem you had just had 200mi down the road and have to do this all over again.... just saying
