Hey just wanted to share my other toy that I own. Ive been working on it for a long time, just went to a local dyno meet. It was fun. Car made 327whp and 335lbtq on a heartbreaker dyno. Easily would have made 400whp on a dyno jet but those are just numbers.

awesome

a somewhat subtle sleeper-does not appear to be as tricked out as the dyno proves it is.

nicely done sir.

Obviously not the target crowd for such a vehicle...100+ lookers with nary a comment.

Thanks for sharing it with us. I like it. Most of the "Diamond Star" products have been trashed around here. Nice to see an owner that has maintained and improved it both.

I had a 91. Absolutely positively LOVED it. It was a fine piece of machinery. So balanced and just felt like it was grabbing the road. If it weren't for a crushed ankle I'd probably still be driving it. I was never able to work a clutch again. The thing was in mint condition and I sold it to my cousin for 2 grand and he proceeded to beat the heck out of it and destroyed it within a year. How depressing.

They are amazing cars. I've considered buying one again to work on, but I just don't think it would be as fun with an automatic.

sweet car and I miss those 1st gen DSMs. How about an engine pic?

Here's mine when I bought it in '95 with only 23k miles on it.

And 8 years and 400 timeslips later I retired it and is sitting in storage in near pristine shape awaiting a fresh rebuild on the engine. I ran consistent 13.0s up here at 5800ft and in Texas turned a 12.4 on a 18g turbo@19psi and stock IC and the engine was never touched and currently has 117k on it and still turned 13.0s the last time I raced it in '05.

Never to late for a dsm pic. Yours is beautiful. Thought I'd post pics of the new dsm I'm building also.
