Thursday night the buyer drove off in my old faithful '99...

She was a great one and I really enjoyed her.

Then, this evening, after spending a day haggling with car dealers and going on interminable test drives in the late June heat, I finally came home with this:

Gorgeous, isn't she?

Specs: 07 SR5, 4.0., 92k on the clock. Pretty much factory stock.

Was it the beautiful Salsa Red Pearl color that got me? Not 100% - but it helped seal the deal!

Moving up to the 4th gen is nice. Congrats, your rig is a beauty! Almost everything about it SEEMS to be an upgrade. You'll enjoy her no doubt. Having that said, I DO miss my 3rd gen surfs

Congrats, here a couple things Ive learned coming from a 3rd gen.
1) make sure that it will go into 4LO easy.
2) to fit 33s you will need to do lots of trimming.
3) you will love the power.
4) on the trail, it IS, lots wider lol.

Thanks for all the input. As for the wheels, I'm pretty sure they're stock. At least, they look like the same wheels I see on most 4th gens that have stock wheels.

This one is "stripped" (well, it's as "stripped" as a 4runner gets, which isn't much.) Cloth seats, no sunroof, basic stereo (although with an aux input it's nice!) and the wheels are 16" which surprised me a bit because a lot of the 4th gens I see have 17" wheels. It's got near-new 265/70/16 Cooper Discoverer M+S tires but I'd like to go up to 265/75/16's eventually (that's the size I had on my 3rd gen and I find that they are perfect for the kind of driving I do.)

When shopping the most difficult thing I found was finding one my my price range (under $20k), within my mileage requirements (under 100k) and without a sunroof or leather seats (don't need/want/like leather and the sunroof cuts into my headroom too much since I'm 6'1". I also have concerns about leaks and noise.) That's why it took me all day.
