Eagle Lakes Trail, Jan 09

Bad pic, but I burried Ruffian here. Had to get yanked out. First time ever EVER stuck! Got her out, and then realized I had taken her out of 4Lo, so I had been doing all that wheeling in 4 Hi, diff locked. Boy did I feel dumb!

And then the following day, my LAST Sunday off for the next 6 months without taking vacation time. Out in Foresthill area.

That's funny to see our trucks on the same road (the last pic). Did you go down that part? My GF was adamant about not going down it because it's all loose dirt and gravel, down a huge hill and it was raining. Not the best mix.

That foresthill loop is huge, we did 60 miles of offroading, with a large portion of their trails closed because of rain!

Well as you can see due to the snow, the rest of Foresthill Road was closed. I found a great trail just outside of Iowa Hill that later once it dries up a bit more, I'm going to go explore more later. Now that my weekend is Tues & Wed., I have to be very careful as I'm going out there on my own. My 4 WD club will be organizing several events for SUV's and I'll make sure to post them here. Not sure why I keep getting emails that my inbox for PM's is full. It's not! I don't get it!!!!???

Great pics and good times (well for you guys at least). I cant stand Tahoe this season. I sprained my MCL in December right before that epic storm. Turned out not to be so bad since we havent really had any snow since. The month of January was seriously like riding in April.

It is a good time to check out some trails and such, but snowboarding is terrible this year.

I have some pics of the xmas storm, and even with the blown knee i took the truck out for doughnuts and just plowing through the snow. Pulled a few people out and in all still had a great time.

where were those pics taken? Up in Tahoe?

Ya the pics were taking in tahoe, back off pioneer trail other than the lake shot. I have some great ones from heavenly, but on a diff comp.

The snow is terrible right now, i was up last weekend and only above 8500' is it decent.

This storm blowing in tonight should drop about a foot over the next 3 days, but mammoth should get hit much harder as the southern portion of the storm is much stronger.

I might go up saturday depending how the storm pans out.
