my lady needs head gaskets any pointers!!

I have a 94 3.0l 4x4 and she is in need of head gaskets.........I have the know how and tools just looking to see if anyone has some hints or things I should also do while I have the heads and intake off?? Thanks for your time fello tr4 peeps!!

Since this is such a common problem, of you search the web u will find much info on 3.0 hg replacement.

Got to Toyota.com/owners and type her vin in. There was a head gasket recall on these motors and it is still open. It will tell you whether or not the hg has been done. If not cash in on it, parts and labor are free! Just had mine done by a Toyota dealer in June.

I have the same motor and couldn't find recall info. for the head gaskets at that site. Is there somewhere else to look?

I called the dealer about this when I acquired my 95, they said the only recall open for mine was on the ball joints.

If your not showing anything for the recall, more than likely the PO already had it done. Mine now says no results found. I had the expansion valve for the AC, steering relay rod, and head gasket all done on 6/27.
