Thai, I think one big point for the G500 is that you won't be passing yourself all of the time. I live in a small town and I like that with my 350Z and also for the moment with the 4th generation 4runner (that will change). I just hope you don't have any problem with it like they discribed in that Mercedes web site you indicated. From reading that site some guys had all kinds of problems and others didn't have any. I bet that can be attributed to the hand built nature of the G500, hope you got a good one. : Your not really going to take that new G500 rock crawling in CO. ?

I hope so too. In fact, like i said before, i just hope that it is half as reliable as my old 4runner! Hopefully, my G was made on a Wednesday by a happily married man who is happy doing his job.

Nah, i will just test it out on a few places...no major stuff that might damage my G.

So Thai, you should start a forum for G500 owners. You might hook up with some young (and rich) movie starlet. Get her to marry you and you could retire to a life of lesure and luxury. Maybe even trade up to a pair of matching G55s.

Both of you are right. I think it is pretty much common knowledge about Arnold and his Hummers.

My friend saw a yellow G in LA and was saying to someone how ugly it was right before Arnold stepped out. It must have been a couple of years ago now, so I don't know if he still has it.

Arnold has both. Since he was born in Austria, he likes the G-wagen because it's handmade there.

A little off topic in the "Off Topic" section, I just saw the "Bourne Supremacy" and at the end the good guy Jason Bourne has a car chase with a bad guy. The cars were in Moscow and Bourne has a taxi, it looks like a 5 series BMW and the bad guy had your Benz, it even looked like your color. The Benz gets a little bent in the end. It was a wild chase scene. :driving:

There's some debate about that clean picture in the link. Some say that it is the long-wheelbase version of the ML, instead of the G.
