My "nightshade" edition

So back in the sept of 2017 I picked up a 2014 Limited, and right away I knew I didnt like all the chrome. I wasnt sold on the the "blacked out" look so I just went on without doing any changes. When I purchasaed her, there was some curb damage on one of the wheels and it really bothered me. After reviewing my options on wheel repair I decided I was going to have them powdercoated black. Well when i picked her up I loved it and made an appointment to have all the chrome parts vinyl wrapped black. I know its not everyones cup of tea but I love the way it turned out and prefer it over the blackchrome used on the OEM Nightshade edition. Next will be some light tint on the tails so they dont stand out so much.

Looks awesome!

If they didn't have the Nightshade for '19 this is totally what I would have done to mine.

You're just being ahead of the curve.

Well done! Nice to see it done properly! Looks great! :first:

Very nice. Were the vinyl installers confident that it will hold on the front chrome bumper cover due to the aggressive edges? My local professional shop said they didnt want to wrap it because it would likely pull up.

And were they able to wrap the chrome bezel on the tail gate?

They did not have any concerns with it that they made me aware of. Both the Front and rear Toyota logo bezels were not wrapped. I was under if i wanted it to be or if leaving just the logos in chrome (as with the OEM nightshade) would be what i liked best. I used plastidip to make them black for now. Might go with gunmetal color for all the emblems.

They also removed all the "4runner" letters and I ordered a set of them that came in mattle black rather than have them try and wrap all the letters and restick them on.

Nice!!! Was the functionality of the front door handles affected by the wrapping?
