I see a lot of people having these issues, and had the same symptoms as well. I wasn't losing any fluid that might be a blown head gasket as some people suggested, but at startup, the engine would spit, sputter, and usually throw the P0300 and P0306 codes.
I would reset the code, and the next day, day after or so, at cold startup, same issue. After a lot of research, I found that one cause MAY be your Idle Air Control valve may be dirty/sticking. Since this attempt at a fix requires nothing to be removed (if it is just sticking), I figured I would give it a shot.
On the back of the engine, I moved the valve open and closed a few times by hand...I reset my codes....next day...no issues...day after..no issues. This has been cleared up for over a month now, no engine codes thrown when it used to get thrown every other morning or so. And also, the engine doesn't spit or sputter at startup either.
This may or may not fix your problem if you are having the same codes being thrown, but it is simple to try, and you may get lucky like I did.
