My truck has literally transformed!

Ok guys, I know I have created enough threads on here to make a small t-shirt. :doh:

I just got my Rola Roof Rack and rust proofed this thing and even sprayed on a few coats of bedliner just to be safe.

Well here is a before pic, and here is what she sits like as of today.

BEFORE ANYTHING:



AFTER EVERYTHING:



I literally breathed new life into this machine of a truck. I turn heads now and it feels good to have this truck that has 285k miles RUN and LOOK SO GOOD. The paint is in near perfect condition and only has a small dent on the rear bumper. Everything else is not even noticeable as the truck as a whole looks completely different.

She's almost ready. I still have to do the rear axle seal and brakes, but other than that. She is good to go.

Thank you guys for all your guides and helpful information. It has been a lot of cash, but very very worth it. :rockon:

The Transformer mod - somebody needs to do a write up. With pictures and part numbers please. And make sure you list which tires will fit without rubbing.
 
Oh nice. I think I was commenting on your facebook post earlier today asking about mods. Again, Beautiful runner needs more light bars lol jk sometimes I wish I went with round hids. Like the old school look

Round lights only for these trucks. Square or rectangular light bars do not match the lines of our trucks at all. They look too modern. They look good on 4th gens & great on 5th gens.

I actually had a dream my truck ran away transformer's style and I was left with a rust bucket :yuck: I literally woke up thinking I had to go shopping for a new truck.
 
Did you buy your 4Runner at that place on Spring Cypress and Stuebner Airline? I see you're in Spring, and I think I recognize the flags in your picture.

Yea I DID. You in the area? My shop is right down the street from that dealer. I saw the 4Runner on the way to pick up an engine stand at my buddies house. Bought it that next week.

Come check it out sometime bro!
 
Nice rig. Been really happy with my Rola basket with the extension. Looks like you've got the sun roof, so I see why you didn't go that route. + 1 on weatherizing and bedliner. I did the same.

That truck is clean bro! How do you like the extension? Do you not have a sunroof? I thought they all came with one.
 
Thanks, my base model 4 cyl didn't come with a sun roof, unfortunately. Enjoy it. It's more of a perk than running a longer basket, IMO.

The basket was nice for hauling camp gear for the road trip, and gave the dog a little more room in the back. Could have easily hauled the gear with the shorter basket, but I bought the 4runner coming from a pickup, so I anticipated missing the utility of the bed. The long basket was my compensation, lol.
