name this part of the headlamp assembly so I can search for and replace it!

ok so its for the passenger side. one pic shows the broken part. Its a clip that holds whats in the 2nd image to the black bezel of the headlamp assembly on the upper outside corner. Without this, the spring in the opposite bottom corner has no tension and pulls the light down. Ive found parts diagrams but nothing looks like what it could be or sounds like it(HEADLAMP. Fits: 2002 TOYOTA 4RUNNER | ToyotaPartsOverstock.com)

Might be easiest to pick up a used headlight from a part out than to find that little critter. Have you tried any online microfiche?

If it broke off the housing, you may need to get a whole new housing sub-assembly for that.

I would think that, but it has clips to secure it into the sub-assembly. no damage where it came from on the sub-assembly either so its a clean break of just this piece. Id just glue this together but theres one small piece missing that has one of the clips on it

Since Koyo made the housing, you would have to drop $195 on the whole housing.

Doubt you will be able to just get that part. You can buy the whole light assembly on rock auto for $40-$50, thats what I ended up doing after hitting a dear head on and messing up the headlight buckets.

Nope. New headlight assembly from rock auto was like 40$

I made the mistake of buying two, non-OE headlight assemblies and they were ABSOLUTE CRAP. They spread the headlight beam all over God's green earth. Ended up forking out the $$$ for the OE assemblies and it is back to the way the factory intended. I ended up spending more money by buying the non-OE crap and then replacing with OE. Save the $$ and go OE.....just my opinion.....

The Retrofit Source has some spare parts for headlight housings. I think these might work. Call them up and ask if they know what size you need.
