NAPA Adaptive One brake pads

Hi all

Seems as though most recommend the OEM pads but after calling several dealerships around here I decided to look elsewhere. I have looked on here and don't see any thing relating to these pads for 4th gens. I picked up the front and rear from NAPA for $115 with tax after a small discount I get and I will be putting them in this weekend with multiple other things that need to be done before our mountain road trip in a few weeks. Figured I would see if anyone has any first hand experience with these on a 4th gen and also update my experience as it plays out for people who may be considering them. Everything I have found on the web in General says these are excellent. We shall see I guess.

I've been running these for about 45k miles now. They brake well, still a ton of pad life left, quiet and low dust. I'll be throwing some on the rear in the spring. Can't go wrong with these or the OEM.

I ran them in my 3rd gen before I did the tundra brake swap. They were decent. Low dust seemed to last. I wasn't a fan of how much taper they put on the pads. That's a lot of surface not biting the rotor but they worked ok.

I run them on my firebird. I get about 40k out of them. The best thing about them to me is that they seem to be easy on the rotors. Had warping issues with other brands.

Should you use the OEM shims with the adaptive one pads?
