Napa inner tie rod

I ordered a set of tierod ends from NAPA but noticed on the website there are 2 different part numbers for the Altrom Import brand.

ATM 1002479 -- $45.49

ATM SR3560 -- $54.99

The latter are the 555 part which are the ones I ordered. Anybody know the difference and whether I just wasted $19?

I would gladly pay for the 555 brand. In fact, I just paid $40 more than the cheapest option for 555 ball joints. I understand 555 is good stuff, I was certialy pleased with the 555 ball joints. Time will tell. But I think you should keep the 555 ITRE. The others ones may be inferior quality. No doubt 555 is good.

I just replaced both of my ITREs 2 weeks ago with ATM SR3560 from Napa. They were 555 brand, the quality was obvious - you will be pleased. :bigok:

I paid $39 though... I have a Napa in town but I found one a few miles away in another town that always has better prices.

I paid $49 a year and change ago, but went with the 555s as well. They looked very much like the OEMs I pulled off my 4runner.

Easy job to do. A big pipe wrench is what you need to get those suckers off and on.

So I picked up the altrom 555 inner tierods today and compared them to the cheaper altrom inner tierods. The cheaper ones were a much darker metal.....not sure what that means exactly.
