I'm in Goldsboro, so I'm a lot closer to Wilmington than I am Charlotte. Seems the majority of dudes here are from western NC.

There's usually a few NC guys hanging around on the GA chapter of TTORA too.. they wheel pretty often.

I used to live in NC and there is a very active NC chapter of TTORA. The GA and NC groups are a pretty tight knit group as well.

Warning: Most of the active NCTTORA guys wheel hard and most have trailered rigs.

Don't let that detour you though....good group of guys. If you login in and introduce your self, be sure to say...I hear people on hear like chicken!

I'll be working in Spruce Pine, NC this summer, and living in Asheville probably, so if your near there i would be down for some wheeling trips.

In Charlotte now but may be selling the 4runner soon and may be moving in a few months depending on job. If anything surfaces update the thread I'll see if I can work something out

Uwharrie does open up pretty soon and I am definantly planning on heading that way. Ok so this is gonna be an on going thing. Here is what I am thinking I am wanting to do. If the NC guys are intrested I am thinking I would like to help put together a meetup. My kids love wheeling along with me.

Any thoughts?

My Runner needs a little bit more work before I can wheel it, but depending on when it is I may be able to make it. Just have to see what happens.

no worries. Mine still needs work too. But the good thing about Uwharrie and the places i go you can get to from stock to built. I am just getting into it myself. But hey like I tell my girlfriend I like a challenge.

One thing you might want to do is create a NC group on the board, then it'll be easier to keep track of threads. It's like having your own subforum. I made one for my area, which there are only a few of us.. but it's pretty cool.

Where can I do that at? I went here Carolinas - Toyota 4Runner Forum is that were you are talking about. Charlotte fire I saw your posts and pics in there, nice ride.

Just installed a new e-locker, we need to go riding.

Im game! Got a few vacation days left to use. Just gotta get some time off and find a good time, financially, to go. I got a tranny cooler to install over the next few weeks and getting new plugs installed over the next few days too. Really gotta find some 31s to sit on.

Are you on a 15 or 16 inch rim? Go 265/75's if you are on a 16 inch rim.

I still can't do any heavy wheeling. I got my lift and 285's on but my power steering is acting really strange. It barely wants to turn right in any sort of resistance situation. Not ideal for wheeling, haha.
